Signal Cottage Development

ABOVE: Approved Signal Cottage development minus the giant central tower that the applicant cunningly amended days before the planning meeting.
Our Amble aims to bring this shameful situation to the nation and we'll be contacting every relevant influential person, because this is an important issue that not only effects the future of Amble and our natural heritage, but also the coastline of Northumberland now that a precedent has been set to approve future planning applications on the region's dunes
Below is how large the housing block will be according to the plans. This is the view looking north towards Alnmouth. The yellow line is the Northumberland Coastal Path showing its proximity; it is about two metres (6ft) from the site's boundary fence. In the red circle are two people walking the Path to show the scale of the building. This montage (minus tower)
is from Our Amble's objection document.

ABOVE: In case strangers are wondering about the white building, left, in the distant background. It isn't actually on the dunes as they end before that point. It is a historic local landmark called Quarry House, built 100+ years ago and is part of Amble's 1800s quarrying heritage.
